Flowers for Ellen

Recently, a local Boy Scout troop volunteered to make stand-up garden boxes at Avalon by Otterbein at Monclova. Resident Ellen Kale, an avid gardener, is shown here with hers. Ellen has 10 children, drove a school bus and had her own green house.  She goes out several times a day trimming, watering and pruning her plants.

 The building of the boxes was one of the scout's projects toward becoming an Eagle Scout.
