Now is the time to give thanks

Do you fret over a moist turkey every Thanksgiving? Or a tasty dessert? Members of Otterbein Portage Valley Retirement Living Community don’t worry about that anymore! Chef Reggie hosts the annual Otterbein Portage Valley Family Thanksgiving Day meal! We’re already dreaming about the menu including carved turkey and roast beef, all the trimmings and fabulous dessert. Friends and family are welcome for a nominal charge. Thank you, Chef Reggie and team, for your dedication even on Thanksgiving Day!

Thanksgiving also reminds us of those who are less fortunate. Residents have begun collecting new warm socks, underwear, hats and gloves, etc., to help Hannah’s Socks reach their goal of 10,000 socks this season.  The public is invited to Hannah’s Holiday Retreat from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Otterbein Portage Valley. Appetizers and networking opportunities will be provided. Please bring a new garment to donate to Hannah’s Socks.
