Wednesday’s blustery rain was perfect soup weather. Residents enjoyed Chef Reggie’s homemade rye, white and wheat rolls and, while the rich chicken mushroom brie soup seemed to receive the highest praise for comfort food, Chef enjoyed rave reviews on the tangy tomato carbonara, flavorful seafood chowder and spicy chili.
Just the day before, on Tuesday, Nov. 17, residents enjoyed breakfast with Fox 36 Weather Forecaster Larry Whatley and his take on northwest Ohio’s climate and what the news guys are really saying.
Otterbein Portage Valley’s newest Bingo caller, Bernadine Gargac, was so worried that she’d have nothing to do when she moved in a couple months ago. As her husband, Ray, said, “We’re so busy with exercise class, lunching with old and new friends, health checks, coffee talk, outings and getting ready to play Mary and Joseph in Otterbein Portage Valley’s upcoming Christmas production, maybe we should’ve moved into the attached apartments instead of our beautiful two-bedroom villa!”
