Otterbein has designed three financial options and monthly service fee packages to meet your individual financial needs:
Resident choosing this payment options enjoy the services, amenities and activities of the community by paying an all-inclusive, once a month fee. Your Residency Agreement renews yearly. If a move to assisted living or nursing is necessary, as a resident of Otterbein you will have priority access at the published rates.
Under the 100% Refundable Entrance Fee Option, each Otterbein ranch home/patio home/villa or apartment is assigned a specific entrance fee and monthly service fee package. You and/or your estate are entitled to a full refund of the entrance fee paid for your residence when you leave the community. If a move to assisted living or nursing is necessary, as a resident of Otterbein you will have priority access at the published rates. Otterbein reserves the right to delay the cash refund until the vacated residence has been re-occupied by a new resident.
Under the Refundable Life Use Fee Agreement (RLUF), you deposit an amount of money that you determine, which provides for a reduction in your monthly fee as long as you live at the community. A percentage (.75%) of the principal amount is returned to you in the form of a credit against each month’s service fee. If you choose to leave the community or pass away before the entire principal has been returned, the remaining principal will be refunded to you or to your estate. If a move to assisted living or nursing care is necessary, you will have priority access to those areas at the published rate minus the monthly credit. The monthly credit will apply in all levels of living for as long as you and/or your spouse are residing in the community.
