In keeping with Otterbein’s United Methodist heritage and as part of the Pathways to Wellness philosophy, Chaplaincy services are available at most Otterbein communities. Spiritual support is a key element to living a balanced life. Other professionals who visit the communities to provide spiritual care work cooperatively with Chaplain to be that support. The chaplain can offer a wide variety of services, as well as work with other professionals who visit the communities to offer spiritual support. Chaplaincy services include community and hospital visitation, end-of-life emotional and spiritual support, emergency and death on-call response, memorial services and bereavement support. Otterbein Chaplains serve without regard to religious affiliation.
