Lifestyle Community Locations:
Continuing to answer our “call” to seek to enhance the quality of life and holistic growth of older persons and in keeping with our United Methodist tradition, Otterbein has grown and changed significantly over the last several years.
The growth is fueled by our passion and desire to find new and better ways to serve. These new ways are grounded in our understanding that as children of God, every individual has the right to be in control of a lifestyle of their own choosing, no matter what type of care and support is needed. For Otterbein, that means creating and expanding environments that free one to realize their full potential — to enable them to become the person God has called them to become.
We call this “liberation.”
“Liberation” to Otterbein means enabling individuals to live their lives the way they choose, and Otterbein is in the unique situation to provide a wide array of senior lifestyle choices.
Retirement has changed. Seniors today live active lives. They travel around the world, volunteer with charitable organizations, and many are still in the workforce, continuing to do the work they love. Seniors today are highly engaged in the world around them, and don’t see retirement as a time to slow down.
Since seniors are highly active, they need a lifestyle that can keep up with them. They need a lifestyle that is social. They want to be stimulated and challenged both physically and mentally. They are not looking for just a place to live, they are seeking a lifestyle that meets their needs.
Living life to the fullest is about having choices. The choice between a house and apartment. The choice for assisted living, when needed. The choice to rehab from a medical procedure in a comfortable home environment. The choice to receive assistance inside their own home.
Otterbein recognizes that seniors today are seeking more choices. That is why we offer so much more than just retirement communities.
“The Otterbein Way” gives you the choices you need to live life to the fullest.
