Skilled Nursing Locations:
Otterbein Skilled Nursing & Rehab Neighborhoods are unlike any other traditional care environment in Ohio. The neighborhoods are built from the ground up, with the sole focus of creating comfortable environments that facilitate excellent nursing and rehabilitation.
Otterbein Skilled Nursing & Rehab Neighborhoods combine comfortable home settings with highly-trained rehabilitation staffs, creating a truly unique experience.
Unlike large, institutional settings, most Otterbein Skilled Nursing & Rehab Neighborhoods are located in familiar residential areas. Each skilled nursing and rehab neighborhood is a collection of “small houses” situated within a community.
A total of five small houses surround a cul-de-sac, creating the neighborhood. The houses have private suites that provide a comfortable and familiar setting for elders and rehab residents. A large common room with a connected kitchen is the perfect space for socializing. No more than 10 elders and rehab residents occupy each home. Family and friends are encouraged to visit just as if they were in their own home.
Elders and rehab residents make choices about their daily activities, such as working on their computer, knitting/crocheting, completing puzzles or reading their favorite book, helping with household chores or spending time outdoors on the patio garden.
The goal of Otterbein Skilled Nursing & Rehab Neighborhoods is not only to provide superior care for elders and rehab residents, but also to help them live their life to the fullest and with dignity.
