In the heart of Otterbein Lebanon is a 300-seat chapel and home of the Otterbein Lebanon United Methodist Church. Its location at the center of thecommunity symbolizes the importance of the spiritual life in the hearts and minds of many community members.

The church offers a full worship service, which is broadcast live to the community and rebroadcast during the week. With a 60-voice choir, two bell choirs and a recorder ensemble, Otterbein Lebanon UMC presents a rich worship experience. A varied adult Christian education program is offered each Sunday morning, and the congregation includes people from a variety of Christian backgrounds.

There are three ordained ministers who provide pastoral leadership to the church and chaplaincy services to the whole community. The ministry is strongly supported by the financial and voluntary services of its members. The ministries and events of the church are many. Bible study, hymn sings devotional and prayer groups meet regularly to enrich lives, and the church is steeped in a strong heritage of support for missions. All services and activities are open to all who wish to attend.

Mission Weekend - Aug. 8 & 9 - Ruth Wiertzema from Red Bird Mission is our guest. Ruth, director of Connectional Ministries of the Red Bird Missionary Conference, will speak during the worship service on Sunday, Aug. 8 in the chapel and will lead the Searchers class following worship on Sunday eve. Ruth will join Pastor Jim Ludwick lead the Prayer & Praise service. She also will be the guest speaker at the United Methodist Women's General Meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 9, in the chapel where she will share what is happening in the Red Bird Conference. Join in an evening of information, stories and wonderful refreshments. Everyone is invited to attend this special program.
