Otterbein celebrates 100 years of ministry: Kickoff gala set for April 28, 2012

A night of celebration ... A century of making a difference

Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Choices will celebrate its 100th anniversary and kick off a year of recognition in 2012. A gala has been planned at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2012, at the Manor House in Mason. This event is black tie optional and will feature dinner, recognition and entertainment.

A lot has happened in 100 years ... from the horse and buggy to outer space ... from the flapper to the goth ... from personal letters to tweeting.

But through all those 100 years of change, Otterbein has remained:

constant in ministry
constant in prayerful service
constant in caring
constant in loving

This faithfulness to our mission of providing for the holistic growth of older persons has positioned us to challenge all connected with senior care to move away from the traditional institutional model toward one of encouragement and aiding independence.

Each of our ministries – home health, small house neighborhoods, adult day care, and continuing care retirement communities is doing just that. Come celebrate where we’ve been, where we are today, and where we will be in the future. Come celebrate the impact that we’ve made in the field of senior services.
