Assisted Living

Assisted living is different for everyone. The goal is to keep you enjoying your life in comfort, as independently as possible.

Specialized care for you

Assisted living allows you to preserve your independence while providing you with a safe environment and help with daily activities.

Assisted living is a long-term senior care option that serves as a less restrictive alternative to nursing facility care. Combining personal support services and health care with a home-like environment, assisted living is an appropriate choice for seniors who don’t require 24-hour medical care but for whom independent living isn’t a viable option.

Otterbein is a senior living community in Cridersville, Ohio that offers a wide range of lifestyle and care options catering to the needs of each resident. Through our assisted living services, we help residents with activities of daily living, like eating, dressing, and bathing. We can also provide nursing services and help with medications, housekeeping, laundry, and more.

Putting You in Control of Your Life and Future

Together with our nursing team, you get to decide exactly what type of care and assistance you require. Our nursing team will carry out an in-depth evaluation in order to develop an individualized care plan. We offer the following services:

Respite Care

Sometimes you have to remove yourself from a stressful situation. When that happens, you are welcome to stay with us for a few days, a few weeks or up to four months.

Sometimes caregivers need care. The physical and emotional demands of caring 24 hours a day for a family member lead to stress. You know it’s important to find time for yourself, but how do you do that? Check into Otterbein Cridersville for a Respite Stay. You and your loved one can take advantage of our high standards of care. And you can both enjoy our life enrichment activities, as you are able.

Or perhaps you need a seasonal break. Winters demand snow shoveling. Driving can be hazardous. You may feel shut in and away from friends. A healthy hiatus on our campus can re-engage you in life. Let our ministry help strengthen your spirit with joy, peace and serenity.
